Overall appearance:
typically, romy has a very simple, yet elegant appearance about her. her outfits aren't exactly plain, but she doesn't dress over-the-top either. a nice pair of fitted jeans with a tshirt and nice accessories generally does the trick for this teen. still, when the occasion rises for romilda to look her best, she exceeds anyone's expectations. romy wears her hair down mostly, either in curls or waves. hardly ever does she wear her hair straight, since it takes a while and quite honestly, she prefers it curly. romilda's sophisticated style seeps out through her wardrobe, though. her many pieces of clothing all have something significant about them - whether it be a pretty set of buttons on a coat, or a good texture. colors are definitely her friend, too. she applies to concept of color not only to her clothes, but to her face as well. when the time is fitting, romy likes to gloss her lips with a shade of red, though on most occasions it shimmers a soft or bright pink. makeup, apart from mascara and lipgloss, doesn't really sit well with romy. she likes to look very natural, only applying mascara and lipgloss as needed or desired on certain days. overall, romilda's appearance is inviting. she looks fairly ordinary, though her smile and dimples seem to part her from the rest. Likes: clothes, boys, harry potter, slow dancing, swimming, being held, cookies
Dislikes: the sound of apparation, the color beige, being rejected, cats, antiques, secrets, nightmares
Strengths: manipulative, brave, optimistic
Weaknesses sneaky, pushy, overly self-confident
Overall Personality:
romilda basically represents the 'bad' characteristics gryffindors tend to have. she can be very manipulative and sneaky, getting whatever she wants however she pleases to see it through. romy is also very pushy. she tends to not really care what people think, which can be a good thing, but oftentimes allows her room to run over her friends. she is demanding from her friends in a way that can be quite annoying. romilda is also conceited and overly self-confident. she thinks that she is one of the best gryffindors there has ever been, making harry potter her perfect target. as he is extremely famous, and she's sure that with her spectacular abilities she will be too, that harry should be hers. anyone who stands in the spotlight, though, is up for romy to grab. she won't settle for anyone less than brilliant. romilda's obsessiveness can be a bit extreme. whether she obsesses over a person, activity, or thing in general, she can become extremely focused on it until she gets it.
though, her single-minded thoughts can be positive toward herself. it means that romilda has a lot of ambition. when she wants something, she goes after it - not sitting behind and letting it slip through her fingers. she goes after her dreams. though they may seem crazy, it's still good for her to go after something...to an extent. romy is very brave, though - another good trait she has. she'll practically go to any lengths to protect her friends if they're being harassed, and protect herself. while she walks over people, she doesn't let people treat her the same. her skills reach beyond her personality, though. she's a very skilled duelist. romy seems to catch onto charms fairly quickly, and has the proper stance to fend for herself and friends usefully and proficiently. despite being awfully rude, romilda is friendly. she'll talk to almost anyone, unless they're nerdy. if one is a typical student, one could find himself talking to miss vane.

Family: deliah catherine vane ( mother ) , demetrius donovan vane ( father )
Pets: selena - grey owl
Residence: worcestershire
History:
romilda caroline vane was born to a young couple, delilah and demetrius, on december 19, 1981. both of her parents were pureblooded, though not extremely wealthy. demetrius' father died shortly after romy's birth, though, and left the vanes his manor, which came with several house-elves. though the couple could afford to continue living in the manor, it was the only particularly valuable thing they had. romy did receive the things she wanted, though. growing up with a younger set of parent, her material things were exponentially increased as the love she received decreased. romy's childhood was full of laughter, but not with her parents. while her parents were off doing who knows what, romilda tended to hang around the house-elves - one in particular. romy got very close to gretchen, a friendly, pink-ish looking elf who adored to bake vanilla cookies. yes, romilda and gretchen grew to be very good friends, especially for humans and house-elves.
romilda's parents never seemed to catch on, though, about the friendship between the pair. so it flourished, and gretchen seemed to be one of the only beings romy could talk to when she was upset. gretchen couldn't always be there, though. she especially couldn't be with romilda when she went to diagon alley after receiving her hogwarts letter. of course, diagon alley wasn't much of a surprise for romy. being from a pureblood family, she had traveled there before. still, it was much more exciting when she got to shop for herself. she ended up getting a very nice, grey owl that she named selena. romilda took selena home and introduced her to gretchen, who was quite frightened of the bird in all actuality. but the three hung around each other late at night anyway, selena fluttering about, gretchen cowering while chomping on cookies, and romilda grinning while joining her elf-friend. it was quite routine, really, until romy went off to hogwarts.
her first year at hogwarts was quite general. she was sorted quickly into gryffindor house, which excited her gleefully because the famous harry potter had been sorted into the same house two years prior. still, romilda wasn't too worried at first about meeting mr. potter. no, she was far too concerned with making friends. romy did this, of course, fairly easily. it took no time at all for romilda to create a small, tight--knit pack of her own. it was filled with two gryffindors and one hufflepuff, all giggly as could be. they tended to call themselves the vane gang amongst themselves and other acquaintances, always traveling together. though the first year together was awfully slow, all of the girls kept touch during the summer.
romilda's second year at hogwarts was quite thrilling. two schools were visiting hogwarts and competing with her school in a triwizard tournament. romy adored gossiping over the durmstrang boys with her friends, constantly following them around. romilda even had a small fling with one of them, getting caught snogging by the lake by a professor. romilda thought it was awfully funny, but the durmstrang boy seemed insulted. she never spoke to him again, since he began to avoid her from that point on. she didn't really mind, though. at that point, harry potter was doing really well in the tournament. romilda set her eyes on him. while she still dated other boys, she was always very curious about harry. she wanted to know more about him, and be seen with him. not only was he handsome, but he was known by all and very talented.
the thirteen year old headed back to hogwarts with harry in mind. her friends always gossiped about him, but romilda was the one who was really into him. still, she did date other people, carrying her obsession with harry into her relationships. romy found her passion for dueling in her third year. she was fairly skilled at it, making it one of her only hobbies. she also picked up on her girlish touches. overall, her third year was pretty calm. that was, however, until she returned home for the summer. romilda came home just in time, really. the first few weeks of summer were great, but the middle of the summer was horrible. one day after hanging out with her friends, she came home to hear her parents screaming at each other. her father stormed down the steps with his bags and pushed past romilda, who had begun to cry and shout at him, wondering where he was going. she chased after him into the front yard, but he disapparated before she could reach him. after the next weeks of summer passed, she had to come to the conclusion that her father was never coming back. this only sparked romy's yearn for harry to be her own. one man had already slipped out of her fingers, she didn't want another to do the same.
as romilda entered her fourth year of school, she continued to keep her sights on harry. people seemed to not trust him since his announcement of the dark lord returning, but romy did. she began to fall for him - obsessively. romilda began to stalk harry, following him around constantly. of course, she was never really noticed. she locked eyes with him, though, in the library one evening while he was there with hermione. as soon as their eyes met, romilda grew into a sort of frenzy. upon her next visit to hogsmeade, she picked up a brew of love potion. she spiked a drink with it and tried to give it to harry, but he refused it - quite aware of her trying to sneak him some. after her failed attempt, romilda managed to get the potion into chocolate balls. she slipped the box of chocolates into the boys dorm and left them on harry's bed, content that harry would seen be her own. unfortunately, something went wrong. harry never came to her, with christmas just a few weeks away, romilda is feeling more lonely than ever. not only has her mother confessed she is going away for christmas, leaving romilda at hogwarts, but romy has no one to spend the holidays with.

romilda woke up to the feeling of silk around her, feathers beneath her head, and a stuffy nose. she opened her glazed-over eyes and blinked a few times before being able to see the picture of harry potter, drawn by herself, pasted to the underside of the bed above her own. she smiled at mr. potter before stretching in her blanket. romy quickly threw off her comforter and got up out of her bunk. she went to her trunk and picked out a pair of boots, jeans, a red tank top, and a grey coat to go over it. she also grabbed a towel and headed down to the lavatory. after undressing and showering, romy slipped into her new clothes and boots. she returned to the gryffndor tower fairly quickly, putting her pajamas away into her trunk. she leaned back into her bunk and picked up her small backpack, wand, and scrunchies, then headed out.
taking the moving staircases was quite easy, really, once you got the hang of them. romilda took the stairs to the entrance hall and finally slipped into the great hall. the cold morning was a brilliant one. though the air in the castle was chilly, most of the students were smiling with warmth. romy's dark curls bounced on her shoulders as she walked to the gryffindor table, taking a seat near the end. she tugged down on her shirt before slipping off her backpack and stowing it between her legs. romilda grabbed a couple pieces of ham and potatoes, and paired it with pumpkin juice. after scarfing down her food and drink, she stood and quickly left the great hall.
she moved swiftly through the entrance hall and exited the castle. romilda vane put her hands on the straps of her backpack as she walked, beginning to trudge through the snow that had gathered on the walk. she bit her lower lip as she debated where to turn into the grass, taking a sharp right quickly. romy grinned at the large oak tree before her, and settled into the cold snow. she shivered at first, but quickly adjusted to the numb feeling surrounding her skin. she ran a hand over the snow catching her hair, feeling dampness begin to seep into her scalp. she bit her lower lip as she slipped off her backpack, extracting her quill, ink, and sketchbook from her pack. she smiled and threw her backpack beside her, carefully positioning her ink bottle in the snow so it stood. romilda dipped the quill into the ink and brought it to the parchment in her lap, beginning to sketch a patch of flowers that perked up from the cold snow. romy heard the crunching of snow a little bit away, but didn't look up to see who was approaching.
