I NEED ANOTHER STORY. SOMETHING TO GET OFF MY CHEST.
I'M GONNA GIVE ALL MY SECRETS AWAY.
TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR. SOMETHING THAT WAS LIKE THOSE YEARS.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Normally the library was Hermione's thing. Harry tried to avoid it like the plague if he could. The only times Harry was likely to be found in the Library was either he wanted a word with Hermione, it was common knowledge that the Library was the Brainiac Gryffindor's favorite haunt, or if it was close to exam time (the only time of year Harry actually put any effort into his studies). But on this day, Hermione was no where to be found in the Library, and The Chosen One was here on his own free will. He figured it was the only place he could come and escape the huddles of giggling girls that seemed to follow him everywhere he went now a days. He had tried to avoid them by staying up in the Common Room; big mistake. His number one stalk, Romilda Vane, had bothered him the entire time he had been attempting to work on Professor Snape's Essay on Non-Verbal Spells. Needless to say, he hadn't been able to get anything done there. He had tried to tell her politely that he was busy and that he really needed to get the essay finished if he wanted to continue his studies to be an Auror, but she had merely giggled in that annoying way she did and flipped her hair. To be honest, she freaked the hell out of him. Harry was used to attention, yeah... but the way she watched him was a bit unnerving.
So Harry had made a get away by fleeing under his Invisibility Cloak (Professor Dumbledore had made Harry promise to carry it around with him at all times this year, whether he was in the castle or not. Harry didn't see the need for doing so, as Hogwarts was the safest place because of Dumbledore, but he wasn't about to disobey a direct order from his Head Master) and had headed straight to the Library. Even in the unlikely chance she followed him there, she would have to keep her annoyance down to a bare minimum or risk the wrath of Madam Pince. And even though he was guaranteed a quiet study session here, he did not feel the need to remove his cloak from over him. He was enjoying the peace and quiet, why ruin it?
But he had yet to make any progress on Snape's Essay. In fact, he still hadn't been able to start on it. Every time he put his quill to the parchment to begin, his mind wandered off to something completely off topic. An agitated sigh escaped him as he ran his hand over his face, rubbing at his eyes. He had been up most of the previous night due to his strange dreams. They were nothing compared to the ones he had last year, but they were still bad enough that they often woke him at night, leaving him unable to sleep for the rest of the night. Shaking his head, he dipped his quill into his ink bottle, making sure to let all the extra ink drip off before once more attempting to start his essay. But instead he just stared blankly at the parchment, his mind completely blank. This... wasn't working for him. Maybe... maybe if he placed his head down and closed his eyes for a few moments, he would be able to get somewhere with his essay. He didn't need to give Snape any more reasons to dock points from Gryffindor or receive a detention. Yes, a few minutes wouldn't hurt. Laying his head down on his arms, he felt his eyes begin to droop... five minutes... that's all he needed... He was sound asleep before he even finished the thought.
