Mandy sighed as she slowly woke up on a brisk morning. She smiled to herself when she realized that it was Saturday and that she didn't have any classes that day. It would be absolutely perfect for just going down and relaxing by the lake. It had been quite some time since Mandy had actually sat by the lake, mainly because she always got sidetracked by something before reaching it. But, with it being Saturday, most people were probably sleeping in and she might just make it down there this time.

Getting out of bed and dressing quickly, Mandy was out of the dorm in 5 minutes. Of course, she wasn't expecting to really run into anyone, so she hadn't put much make up on, just some eyeliner, mascara and eye shadow, and a small amount of lip gloss. And her hair was just put into a loose ponytail. She had on a pair of jeans (with the Ravenclaw crest on the back left pocket), a white tank top (with blue and orange flowers embroidered along the bottom of it) and her Ravenclaw sweater. Nothing too fancy, but still looked cute.

Grabbing her book bag (which, oddly enough, she had left in the Common Room the night before), Mandy headed out of the Common Room. 'Which way to go?' Mandy thought to herself. Looking both ways (straight ahead of her and also to the right), she decided to go to the right, towards the far side of the castle. She didn't see any problem in taking the long way around to get to the grand staircase to head outside.

As she walked through the corridors, Mandy took her time and admired some of the art work that hung on the walls. Some of it was interesting to look at, others, no so much. However, it was when she got down to the pictures of Sir Cadagon, that she started to get annoyed. "Leave me alone!!!! All I am trying to do is get to the Grand Staircase so that I can go outside." Mandy hissed at the knight, causing him to, for once, shut up. "Thank you!" she exclaimed before hurrying away from him.

Once Mandy finally reached the Grand Staircase, she took the stairs two at a time. Yes, it made her accelerate down the stairs, and yes, she almost lost her balance when she had started to go too fast, but Mandy quickly straightened herself and continued on the way. As she reached the lower levels of the school, Mandy did start to see a few people, and she smiled and said good morning to them, but she didn't stop to chat with anyone.

Once Mandy finally got to the lake, she found a nice spot close enough to the lake to feel the mist coming off it, but far enough away that she would get soaked
